WIRELESS/RADIO BASED SYSTEMS

We are now the distributor of the GUARDIAN  INSTRUMENTS INC. product line. The most advanced and complete line of wireless Load, Angle, and Anti-Two Block Systems in the world.  We have chosen this product for many reasons.

  1. The GUARDIAN INSTRUMENTS use two way communications with its sensors. This is absolutely one of the most important features of this product line. Many of the other manufactures of wireless product use only one way communication and then rely on a “deep sleep” mode to conserve batteries. Often to “wake” a sensor you may need to lift a load or move the boom to begin a transmission signal from that sensor. The display then may tell you that there is no communication with a sensor by a flashing green or red light indicating that the display has not yet established a clear signal from that sensor. Many times, if there are no lock-outs or an operator has to activate a bypass key on cranes with lock-out systems to “wake” the sensor, a crane operator may fail to check the display to see if there is a problem and will continue to use the machine. This could be very dangerous. The GUARDIAN INSTRUMENTS system uses Safe Comm full two way communications. So now when you turn the display on, the display looks for the sensors that have been programmed into the display and sends a signal out to the sensors and turns them on. The display then asks the sensor; what is your status?  If the display does not get a satisfactory response from that sensor the display will indicate there is a problem. All of this occurs within the first minute of operation. The two way communication feature is as close to having a full wired based system with fail safe designs as possible. Continuous two way communication remains constant with the sensors as long as the display is active. The sensors are turned off once the display is turned off. This is where most of the battery life is conserved.
  2. The RL420 Display is a full “touch screen” display. There is no membrane pad or soft keypad. Displays also have password protection.
  3. The RL420 also is extremely adaptable and can be a basic anti-two block system to a full rated capacity indicator to handle a small crane or boom truck load charts all the way up to a large crane’s load chart such as a Manitowoc 888 with luffer.  Charts can either be programmed in the factory or onsite by actually entering the charts on the display.
  4. All sensors use basic alkaline batteries.
  5. Load cells are stainless steel and range in the sizes of 3000lbs to 150,000lbs.
  6. All sensors have  internal antenna
  7. Displays and software modifications can easily be adapted to retrofit any type of crane including telescopic machines and perform the required function shut downs when needed.
  8.  Sensors can easily be moved between cranes. Sensors can be turned on or off when necessary.
  9. GUARDIAN INSTRUMENTS has designed a wireless remote repeater to be used on cranes where there is a problem with line of sight that can so often occur especially on the large lattice boom cranes. The repeater insures there is solid communication from the display to any boom tip sensors or a load signal from a load cell on a single line on a jib application where the load cell is working behind walls or on sites where line of site is blocked and when there is a long distance from the display to the sensors .This repeater is very easy to handle and locate and solves many of the problems that plague wireless systems.
  10. Remote displays can be set up to monitor boom sensors when needed.
  11. Excellent reliability and support.  All products ship from US. No Customs or Customs paperwork
